New Guest Speaker for the Mathew Hale Public Library Annual Dinner
We want to inform you of an important update to the evening’s program.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Greg Sheridan is no longer able to join us as Guest Speaker. As you may have read over Easter in The Australian, Greg suffered a heart attack. We are grateful for his willingness to have been part of the event and hope to welcome him on another occasion.
We are, however, delighted to announce that Stephen Driscoll will now be our speaker for the evening. Stephen will be presenting on:
“Made In Our Image: God, Artificial Intelligence and You”
Stephen’s book of this title, won the Sparklit Australian Christian Book of the Year for 2025.
Avoiding the extremes of both the tech worshippers and the ‘doomers’, Author, pastor and self-confessed ‘tech realist’ Stephen Driscoll will explore how Christians can think wisely and faithfully about the rapidly developing world of artificial intelligence, and what it means for our humanity, our ethics, and our discipleship.
As previously advertised, the evening will also include an update on the Library’s work over the past year and the people and ministries we have been able to support.
Tickets remain unchanged:
$60 per person | $400 for a table of 8
